Things to Do In and Around Seattle

If you have allowed some extra time over the weekend and are wondering how to spend it, here are a few ideas from the bride and groom! By no means is this an exhaustive list, but it will give you a few ideas.

Pike Place Market, 1st & Pike in Downtown Seattle

This is the one touristy thing that you really can’t miss. It’s got some of the best food around, with an eclectic mix of shops and people.

For grazing, Ellenos Greek yogurt, Daily Dozen doughnuts, or Piroshky Piroshky are all great pick ups for snacking while you are there. Might want to try a Rachel’s Ginger Beer, or stumble into the ‘first Starbucks’ which has been kept in the original design and fashion. Any of the seafood stands sell crab cocktail, smoked salmon or chowder to enjoy some local flavor.

Across from the Market on the 2nd floor is a great restaurant called Matt’s in the Market.  There is also Storybook Coffee next door to Matt’s, which is also a fun spot. To chill away from the crowds, we recommend Radiator Whiskey, Old Stove Brewery, or Cloudburst Brewery nearby.

Don’t forget to marvel at the gorgeous flowers and treat yourself to a bouquet.
